Back from beyond the grave with an attempt to revive this blog and mark progress on a neat challenge that I saw somewhere: 12 for 12, in which 12 friends give me a game and I try to play and/or beat/finish in such a short amount of time. The allocation of these was randomized, but I did reroll a few times to try and get a good feeling. I'm going into a lot of these titles blind.

| "Let's give him 100+ hour RPGs" - evil friends |
Starting off January with the very hyped Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 as referred to by Will, my friend from the Great White North and the best podcast audio editor I know. Platform is Steam.
Rolling into February by with Caves of Qud, recommended by Peter, an online RPG friend of mine from Australia. I have no idea what to expect from this game. Platform is Steam.
March sees an old classic from an old high school and college friend, Joey. I've played a few hours of MGSV Phantom Pain, but I have, to date, never beat or even meaningfully played a Metal Gear Solid game. I have this one on PS2 and the Switch remake, but I'm leaning towards the PS2 for the aesthetic.
April will probably be the hardest to complete, as several people have told me that my lawyer friend and occasional PUBG squadmate from Texas, Shane, gave me an easily 120+ hour RPG in the Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Thanks, jerk. Platform is Steam.
May, keeping the trend going of trying to pack too much game into one month with Horizon Zero Dawn, going with the remaster on Steam. Going into this one blind, but I have missed out on every Sony exclusive game since PS2 by nature of never having those consoles, so it's nice that these are available now. This recc comes from my yankee friend and fellow Delta Green podcast host, Kevin.
Rolling into June with what may possibly be the first Soulslike game that I beat, Lies of P on Steam. This one is from a college friend and coworker, Nolan. I have heard that this is one of the easier Soulslikes, so hopefully it will be gentle on me.
July, a total genre shift into something else I don't usually try, Blue Prince on Steam, from my Delta Green friend Jeremy. I have been told I need to keep a journal and keep some schizophrenic notes, so I will fit in well, maybe.
August, another old classic. The only Fallout games that I have beat are 3, New Vegas, and 4. So if I can find a manual to make the old interface accessible, I'll do Fallout 2 on Steam, from my long time Pathfinder GM friend Dan, a fellow southerner who expatriated.
Rolling into September is another genre I don't play that much, with Hollow Knight on Steam. My friend Nick, who I met through an army buddy's online 5th edition DnD campaign. Let's see if this one lives up to the hype and if so I might try out the sequel, if I have time.
October comes a torturous treat in the form of Dark Souls. I'll be playing on Steam. This one comes from my coworker Jared, and I think he's trying to kill me, but maybe having played through Lies of P will make this a bit more enjoyable for me.
November, this is the only game that I have actually beat before, albeit almost 20 years ago. This recc came from a longtime Pathfinder friend and all around tech guru Jeremiah. I have permission to use the mod that skips the intro, and I think that I will.
December, closing it out with Citizen Sleeper, from my sci-fi RPG collective friend Sammy. I'm going into this one totally blind, but by coincidence it was also recommended by two others on the list.
So, that's that. Pray for me. I'll try to post midway through the months, or at the end of the months.
